Who is God?” Have you ever asked yourself that question? Were you ever able to find the answer? The good news is that there is a way to get this answer, and if you want it, to create a relationship with Him! God graciously left us with a collection of writings and letters which contain great insight into who He is. God uses these words to teach us and to reveal Himself to us. I believe that getting to know God is the single most important thing that a person can do in his or her life, which makes the Bible the most important book someone can read.

If you truly want to know who God is--or just want to understand why some of your friends go to church on Sundays instead of sleeping in--there is no better way than reading the Bible. It won’t be easy (it is quite long) but it will pay off in the end. The best way to read it is to have a plan and to make a commitment. Many of the individuals that decide to read through the Bible try to do it in one year. This is what the congregation of Abundant Springs will be doing starting on July 14.

If reading through the Bible sounds good to you, commit some time each day this year to read it with us. The worst that will happen is that you will know a little more about “religious” people. The best thing that will happen is that you will find a new friend in Jesus. Join with us!

You will find a reading plan and more resources online at www.thebibleplan.ca.
