Ways to Volunteer at ascc

ON SUNDAYS:

Coffee Corner
(Approx. 30 minutes before service, 15 min after | Rotation: from weekly to monthly)
Come in a little early and make coffee for everyone!

Greeting Team
(Approx. 35 minutes before service, 15 during, 20 after | Rotation: from weekly to monthly)
Welcome people, show them where to get coffee & drop off kids

Kid's Church Teacher*
(Approx. 30 min before service and 1.25 hours during service - on rotation, so as little as 1x monthly)
Share the love of Jesus through planned stories and activities

Kid's Church Helper*
(Approx. 30 min before service and 1.25 hours during service | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Help downstairs with activities and class management

Worship Team
(Approx. 1 hour before service, ½ hour during service. | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Do you sing or play an instrument? We'd love to have you!

Online Host
(During Service | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Make comments and interact with people on our live stream feed on Facebook and Youtube

Cameras and Computer
(During Service | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Help run the live stream and projector; it's not as scary as it sounds!

Sound Tech
(Approx. 1.5 hours before service, and during service | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Help us keep everything sounding great! It’s simpler than you think!

Ride-to-Church Driver:*
(Approx. 20 minutes before and after service | Rotation: weekly to monthly, if needed)
Help pick up kids and families that need a ride to Sunday mornings!

Offering Counter:
(Approx. 20 minutes after service | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Help our treasurer count the offering after service.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:

Kid’s Club Volunteer:*
(Approx. 2.5 hours once a month)
Impact the kids and families of our community: first Thursday of the month 6-8pm Sept-June.

Join the Outreach Team!
(Approx. 1 hour every 1-2 months)
Bring your ideas to our regular meetings.

Pastoral Care Assistant:
(Approx. 30 minutes a week, as needed)
Join Pastor Stephen in visting shut-ins, the elderly, and those in need of visitation.

Facility Upkeep Assistant:
(Varies according to season and volunteer availability)
Keep our facilities beautiful and clean by mowing lawns, shovelling snow, painting, etc. Under the direction of our Facilities Manager.

Church Sign:
(Approx. 15 minutes every two weeks)
Every two weeks, be a part of putting the newest saying on our church’s front sign!

Photography and videography:
(As much or as little time as you are willing to put in)
Taking pictures/videos at events and Sunday morning services. These help with promotion and social media design.

Outreach events!
(Time commitment varies as needed and availalbe)
Put your name down to help with one-time events and preparations.

Youth Group:*
(Approx. 2.5 hours on Wednesday evenings | Rotation: weekly to monthly)
Give Pastor Ewen and the team a set of extra hands engaging the youth of our community!

Summer Community BBQ:
(4 hours after church on August long weekend)
We need everyone's help with this one!

*position requires an interview and an up-to-date police vulnerable sectors check.
